Feeling the pull of my home

Right now, after visiting a Facebook page, I am REALLY TEMPTED to get a new account... So I thought I'd put a desperate plea out there for some Armidillian & general Aussie love. Please email with even the most trivial of news and PHOTOS. That would be tops. I just need to see my friends. Please. Just no bushwalking snaps because that would be make me insanely homesick and jealous.

BUT it's 75 days until I'm home for a visit! Yes that's right! Nothing but divine intervention will stop me now from getting to that wedding. I'm super duper excited. Unfortunately it's a super duper short stay, and by that I mean Friday 8th Nov - Tuesday 12th Nov (yeah I'm gonna be wrecked). I wasn't going to make a big thing of it because I will not physically be able to see everyone that I would like to, but what the heck. If you're around that weekend I'll see you at church and maybe I will have some kind of gathering! Yay!!

And More Scotland

And on Saturday there was Loch Lomond! Amazing.

Oh, ye'll tak' the high road, and I'll tak' the low road,
And I'll get to Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks o' Loch Lomond.

It was misty and a little rainy when we arrived, but when the sun came out it was really picturesque. We went and had soup at a little cafe place, it was the sweetest place with a fire and tartan bowls and a souvenir shop with the coolest teapots you've ever seen. Other little shops had freshly baked shortbread you could try. And later there was a wedding in the lovely old church, with a piper out front. It's a sacred pilgrimage place or something so there was a little set up about it. And the drive (been through/over Glasgow) was nice too. It was really kind of the couple I stayed with to take me (and another two ladies they knew) out for a day on the Loch. I loved it.

More Scotland

On Friday evening we went to a beach called Gullane. It was absolutely beautiful, like an Australian one with more rain on the grass. But like I said the ocean is less green. And really, really cold.
